There’s nothing quite like made-from-scratch food with great views. When it comes to dining, a feast for the eyes always seems to make entrees taste that much better. Today, we’re going to take a virtual visit to Lakewood, Ohio’s Gold Coast to check out a fairly new restaurant that locals already love. At Summer House, warm food and a friendly atmosphere can chase away even the chill of winter. This sunshiny Cleveland restaurant with great views can’t be beat!
Lakewood's Gold Coast is known for its excellent views and fantastic sunsets.
The Gold Coast is visible from Downtown Cleveland, and vice versa. This area hosted the first highrises in Lakewood, and it remains largely residential to this day.
One of the best places to enjoy this vibe is Summer House, a new dining concept that opened in 2019.
Their menu reimagines many familiar concepts, adding a modern and artistic twist to familiar flavors. Whether you're visiting for the shrimp ceviche or short rib flatbread, you know you're in for a treat.

Of course, the views of Lake Erie and Downtown Cleveland also can't be beat.
This is a downright romantic spot for dinner. You'll find yourself enamored with the views, whether you're enjoying a date night with your sweetheart or just catching up with friends.
The restaurant, which underwent extensive renovations before opening, is chic, modern, and comfortable.
The surroundings are unfussy in the best possible way. While many restaurants feel crowded, this place manages to feel fairly open and airy even when packed.
Try the Great Lakes walleye for local flavors that capture the essence of the area views. Of course, the flatbread is also a hit with fans... especially if you're sharing appetizers!
Many come for the weekend brunch between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Not sure if their brunch menu is for you? Glance at it before you plan your trip... dishes like avocado toast and sweet potato pancakes pair perfectly with their unique mimosas.
For others, the weekday happy hour between 3 and 6 p.m. is the biggest draw.
Look for Summer House in The Carlyle on The Lake, 12900 Lake Ave. Unit 2, Lakewood, OH 44107.
