Do you remember playing Candy Land as a kid? King Kandy’s castle always seemed to beckon to our inner adventurer, and we always felt the need to follow up a good game with a serving of something sweet. The magic of this game and childhood stories like “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” has been infused into a sweet treat that you can enjoy right here in Greater Cleveland.
Addicted is a coffee bar in Lakewood that appears to be just like any other...
Addicted can be found at 13743 Madison Ave., though from the outside, its quirkiness can be hard to immediately identify. At first glance (and upon inhaling the first aromas), you'll find the traditional lattes and cappuccinos that any good coffee shop offers.
...But it's quickly become one of the hottest hangouts in all of Greater Cleveland.
This quirky shop serves up coffee and ice cream in a comfortable and cozy environment. As this cafe is family owned, it is deeply infused with a traditional sense of neighborly hospitality.

The secret behind its success is, in part, the famous Addicted Crazy Shakes.
Your eyes are not deceiving you - these milkshakes are real. Each one offers the ultimate indulgence, filling up patrons as if they just enjoyed an entire meal.

For just $14.95, you can enjoy a milkshake like the Rainbows & Unicorns Shake pictured here.
This is just one of four incredible themed milkshakes available at Addicted. Cake Me Shake Me, Peanut Butter Overload, and Cookie Monster Craze are all unique flavor combinations that keep visitors returning time and time again.
The sandwiches served here are also larger than life, and they're overloaded with gourmet meats and other ingredients that you select. Diners also rave about Addicted's breakfast burritos and protein boxes.
This shop opened in September of 2017, and it has gained an incredible following ever since.
2019 was groundbreaking for Addicted. It was on St. Patrick's Day that this quaint Lakewood eatery started selling their iconic shakes. Thanks to the internet and word of mouth, they've become a viral sensation.
While this unique local destination will soon be expanding into Mentor and Stow, its Lakewood headquarters is the only place to get an Addicted Crazy Shake.
Lines frequently stretch out the door at this unique eatery, so come prepared with a bit of patience and be kind to the staff serving you. These guys are like busy bees, buzzing back and forth to bring your milkshake fantasies to life.
This epic restaurant opens early and closes at a fairly late hour, so there's truly never a bad time to treat yourself.
On Monday through Thursday, Addicted opens at 5:30 a.m. and closes at 8 p.m. You can also stop in between 5:30 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Fridays, between 6:30 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Saturdays, and between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Sundays.

Bring a friend, because these ginormous drinks could easily feed two (or maybe even three) people.
The only challenge is choosing which shake you wish to go with. They're each unique in their own way, and each flavor offers a treat for the taste buds.
These larger than life milkshakes in Lakewood are almost too outrageous to be real. Have you tried one yet? What was your impression of it?
