One such building, a former substation in Ohio City, has transformed into something new and incredible that is well worth visiting. Welcome to Transformer Station, one of the neatest features in Hingetown.
Hingetown is a hidden gem tucked between Ohio City's Market District, Gordon Square Arts District, and the Warehouse District, combining the best parts of each area. It's historic, unique, and quirky in the best way possible. The building, which was constructed in 1924, once served as a substation for the Cleveland Railway Company.
This local landmark has become the Cleveland Museum of Art's first West Side landmark, and locals are hooked to its high-energy vibe.
This museum features contemporary art projects and also serves as an urban laboratory for our long-standing museum. With an appetite for innovation, this gorgeous destination has drawn in the most inspired artists and art lovers.

The exhibitions here are simply splendid, exposing visitors to a variety of unfamiliar art forms and new artists.
This is one unique gallery, as evidenced by this photo of Parking Violation, an exhibit by Rainer Prohaska. You'll also uncover photography, abstract sculptures, paintings, and even images made using upcycled materials.
Transformer Station is open Wednesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with extended hours on Thursdays until 8 p.m. The current exhibit, a collection of photographs exploring the female identity in the United States and the Middle East, will feature the work of Rania Matar until January 13, 2019.
With all sorts of special events and rotating exhibits, things always feel fresh and new.
