This charming metropolis is home to circa 32,000 residents, but it maintains a small town feel. This Stark County community grew thanks to the Ohio and Erie Canal, industrial exports like those from the Forest City Motor Company, and the unshakable presence of football. But we'll get into that later!
Here, the Massillon Museum is one of the biggest draws, and it's the best way to explore the community's prominence.
The museum is free to visit, so it's an awesome day trip destination that won't break the bank. It's wheelchair accessible, allowing all visitors to explore its two floors of unique exhibits.

I also greatly enjoy the Judith Paquelet American Indian Gallery, which shines the spotlight on indigenous American cultures including the Adena, Hopewell, Mississippians, Puebloans, Inuit cultures.
