Landoll's Mohican Castle is located in Loudonville, between Cleveland and Columbus.
It's hidden in the forest, near the Mohican River, and the grounds have over 30 miles (48 km) of walking trails to explore.
The Landoll family owned a picture book publishing company before selling it and building the castle. It was completed in 2002.
The castle has 15 suites and two cottages which are available.
If you feel like you've heard of it before but can't pinpoint where, you might have seen it on Gordon Ramsay's Hotel Hell earlier this year.
Since then, the hotel has improved immeasurably. Reviews are now raving about the food, service, and atmosphere of the castle.
The castle is gorgeous in every season.
But it's a true fairy tale wonderland in the winter, blanketed in perfect white powdery snow.
Each room was hand painted by Jim Landoll himself.
The suites are luxurious, lavish and complete. It's medieval finery with modern amenities like TVs and microwaves.

The wooden floorboards and detailing - sourced from a local lumber mill - give the castle an extravagant but cosy edge.

Landoll’s Mohican Castle is located at 561 Township Rd 3352, Loudonville, OH 44842. There are some rough roads to get there, so take care if you’re driving at night or in bad weather conditions, and make sure your GPS doesn’t include the dirt roads.
