While some big cities are famous for their diverse neighborhoods, Cleveland’s neighborhoods are almost hidden gems. They’re typically less touristy than Downtown, yet they include some of the most amazing and surprising attractions in the city. Gordon Square is one of the best neighborhoods in Cleveland, and it’s plain to see why. Here are just a few reasons to drop everything and spend the day in Cleveland’s Gordon Square:
Breakfast, lunch, brunch, or dinner – the local foodie scene is awaiting the opportunity to delight your taste buds and immerse you in flavor paradise. There are circa 27 unique places to dine in the Gordon Square area, ranging from coffee shops to old school diners. Swing by Frank's Falafel House for health-conscious cuisine, or sample wines at Flight Cleveland (pictured above). There’s so much to discover when it comes to dining in this vibrant neighborhood.
When it comes to shopping, it seems that boutiques in Cleveland tend to be somewhat scattered. It can be a challenge to find worthy shopping destinations close enough to make a day trip out of, but Gordon Square has a fairly notable collection. Circa ten boutiques and gift shops are waiting to entertain you. Looking for a souvenir to take home to spice up your space? Check out Artful Living!

This dreamy landscape is reminiscent of a much more tropical climate, hosting beach volleyball and even live music in the warmer months. In the winter, it reflects the majesty and power of our great lake.
This dreamy district features a number of art galleries and fosters and inspires local artists. As the economic hub of the Detroit-Shoreway area, it’s almost unsurprising that Gordon Square is spearheading the area’s identity as a vibrant haven for art lovers. Its lovely landscape is also overflowing with interesting street art, including murals.
As if the atmosphere of this incredible neighborhood wasn’t enough! Gordon Square is home to some incredible annual celebrations, including both Dyngus Day and Dia de los Muertos. Keep an eye on their list of events for open houses and street festivals you won’t wanna miss.
Like most of Cleveland’s neighborhoods, Gordon Square has a personality all its own. This is reflected in some of its oldest buildings, including the Capitol Theatre. As you stroll along its vibrant streets, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported to a simpler time in Cleveland history.
Last but not least, the people that make up Cleveland’s population are among the friendliest in the nation. This may not be quite so evident Downtown, but in quaint neighborhoods like this one, you’re sure to fall in love.
