Unique dining destinations offer a glimpse at a side of Cleveland that even locals don’t always get to see. Food often tells the stories of the people that have settled in our city, and many antique environments remind us of what our city once was. Welcome to Johnny's Downtown, a sister restaurant to the long-standing Johnny’s Bar on Fulton Road.
Located in the glorious Warehouse District at 1406 West Sixth St., this destination is full of history.
Johnny’s Downtown opened in 1993, much more recently than the original Johnny’s Bar, but the building in which it is located has an even older history.
The building dates back to the 1860s, and it once operated as a general store. As soon as you enter Johnny's Downtown, you'll feel the presence of years of history.

The founders' mother, Frannie, taught the chefs old family traditions to perfectly prepare food. Her grandmother's marinara recipe is one of many delicious items on the menu.
