Locally-sourced ingredients can make or break a dining experience. There’s just something about crisp, delicious, fresh produce that can’t always be captured when you’re buying in bulk from big box stores. For most restaurants, locally-sourced means purchasing through local growers and producers… but for Felice Urban Cafe in Cleveland, it means walking over to the restaurant’s garden and harvesting ingredients once they’re good and ready. This restaurant is quirky – in the absolute best sense of the word. It has eclectic decor, an impressively diverse menu, and a friendly atmosphere that leaves visitors feeling right at home. Check it out:
We hope you're hungry, because Felice Urban Cafe is calling your name!
Globally-infused comfort food reigns supreme at this cozy Cleveland restaurant. It's tucked away in one of Cleveland's many historic districts, and it truly makes guests feel like they're at home.
If your first impression of this place is that it looks like a house... well, once upon a time it was!
This lovely spot was built in 1910 by the Soika family. Mary (née Stasny) and Edward were young newlyweds when they moved in. Eventually, they entered the real estate business... and they operated it right out of this charming Queen Anne building.

Today, a focus on community continues, with the restaurant providing vegan and gluten-free options amidst a vast selection.
There's nothing more disappointing as a vegan or vegetarian than going to a chic restaurant and finding out that your only dining option is a salad. Such an experience is easily avoided by visiting places with menus as colorful as Felice's. Try a macrobiotic bowl, indulge in vegan ceviche, and chow down on a side of hummus. There's truly something for everyone here.

In the warmer months, the patio is a welcoming, homey atmosphere within the hustle and bustle of Larchmere Boulevard...
The patio is truly a place where you can kick back and relax. Here, the greenery of Forest City provides a buffer against the hectic atmosphere of city life. While many patios at Cleveland restaurants are surrounded by concrete and the sounds of traffic, this one matches the cozy atmosphere of the former home in which the business is nestled.
In fact, it's rather welcoming in the colder months, too!
Garden Grottos are ventilated and heated, providing an intimate outdoor space that you and five other guests can enjoy despite the chill in the air outside.
There's no age limit to accomplishing your dreams. Margaret purchased the home in 2003 and officially opened the restaurant five years later. Her personality became intertwined with the story of the restaurant, which today is owned and operated by her grandson and his husband. While the family-owned aspect of the restaurant doubtlessly adds a bit of charm to the dining destination, it's the fact that they make you feel like family that makes each visit so special.
As for the quirkiness of the menu... that's inspired by the taste buds of local diners.
Recently, in response to COVID-19 causing many Northeast Ohioans to shift into a new norm of working from home, Felice launched Family Meals. These delicious to-go options feed up to six, ensuring an effortless indulgence for lovers of comfort food. With main entree options like BBQ Ribs and Chicken Parmesan, the whole family can appreciate a meal cooked with love and quality ingredients alike.
Oh, and while we're talking about the menu... save room for dessert. That's so important here.
The dessert menu may not be as vast as the dinner menu, but dang are those options good. The chocolate cake is melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and the banana bread pudding is deliciously cinnamony.
