There’s a particular pace to the fall season that characterizes it. Everything feels more laid back, relaxed, and casual. Perhaps it is the superabundance of comfort foods and oversized hoodies, but autumn just seems to pair perfectly with a rich glass of wine. Fortunately, there is no shortage of wineries and vineyards in the Cleveland area that are glorious in the fall, but this one in nearby Aurora might just be the quaintest and coziest place to visit. Move over Oktoberfest, we’re here for grape-based goodness!
Thorncreek Winery and Gardens is endlessly charming inside and out.
From their own boutique cellar, visitors can enjoy the unique flavors of their Aurora Cream White or Lakeside Blush.

The property itself is lovely, with a romantic landscape accented with hidden features like a tented garden, a babbling brook, and ever-changing outdoor habitats.
Herbs are plucked straight from their organic culinary garden and an astonishing variety of local produce is sourced from area farmers. You'll adore delicacies like bruschetta, sweet potato fries, and local cheeses alongside rich soups and wings.
Thorncreek Winery’s annual Harvest Dinner celebrates the colors and flavors of the season with a vibrant, five-course farm-to-table meal.
This year, it will take place on Sunday, October 7 at 5:00 p.m. For more information about this event, including details about reservations and a peek at the menu, click here.
