The Lake Metroparks Environmental Learning Center is tucked away amid an ecologically-diverse landscape. A variety of habitats can be found here, and hikers and nature lovers alike can't get enough of this spectacular landscape.
The Environmental Learning Center is situated within 200 acres of spectacular beauty.
The natural beauty of the Painesville area is perfectly preserved in this diverse park. It's carved by the paved Greenway Corridor, a nearly five-mile bike trail that connects the city to Painesville Township and Concord Township.

Two tributaries of the Grand River - Big Creek and Jordan Creek - add a mystical element to the landscape.
These stunning waterways are breathtaking in each and every season. Wildlife cannot resist their call, and nature lovers adore bringing binoculars to observe native species from afar.

The area is surrounded by approximately 2.5 miles of trails, some of which are natural and others are surfaced for easy access.
Natural surface, gravel, and paved trails can all be found in this park, and all vary in lengths. Whether you're swinging by during lunch for a quick stroll or spending a long day in the sun with the kids, there's something for you here.
Tinted a striking shade of emerald by reflections of the surrounding flora, this waterfall is one you have to see to believe. While smaller than many in the Greater Cleveland area, there's something serene about this lovely cascade.
The hike is just 0.3 miles in length, making it an easy trek across compacted gravel that leads to a stunning payoff.
