Eastlake in Lake County is an often-overlooked city… which is honestly criminal, because this community has a lot to offer. Named for its location (northeast of Cleveland), this city is home to fewer than 20 thousand people. It has a small town feel with fascinating attractions, and it comes with a slower pace of life than we’re used to about 19 miles away in Cleveland. This Greater Cleveland getaway is well worth a weekend trip, as there’s much to see. Check it out:
This fun Minor League team operates just 15 minutes away from Cleveland. If you're not a baseball fine, you still might enjoy the concerts, watch parties, and dining experiences frequently offered at the stadium.

And you have to check out the Boulevard of 500 Flags, which is a sight like no other.
Here, artifacts, resources, and traditions come to life. The Croatian Heritage Museum sheds light on fascinating traditional elements like dress, food, and music.
Dubrovnik Garden Restaurant specializes in Croatian cuisine, which truly ties the experience together. Their soups are the perfect way to warm up in the colder months, but the schnitzel is a fan favorite.
If you're looking for a place to stay during your weekend excursion, Homestead House Bed & Breakfast in nearby Willoughby is like a fairytale.

Historic and welcoming, Homestead House Bed & Breakfast is a home fit for royalty. This Italianate Victorian was built in 1884, and its Victorian furniture will take you back in time... but Jacuzzi tubs provide the luxuries of the modern era.
And there are plenty of glorious parks in and around Eastlake that are worth visiting.
Pictured here is Sunset Park. As the name suggests, this park is best enjoyed reclining on a blanket at dusk. The views over the lake are downright breathtaking!
