Cider, known colloquially in the United States as hard cider, is an alcoholic beverage crafted of fermented apples and spices. Lakewood's first and finest cider bar, Griffin Cider House & Gin Bar, has enchanted visitors since it opened in 2015.
Its owner hails from England, bringing along a long history of cider making. Cider is not as popular in the United States as in other parts of the world, but Ohio apples always impress in their on-tap selection.
After the owners of Griffin Cider Works, a cidery that formerly operated in Westlake, decided to try their hand at operating a bar.
While the Westlake location is no more, their impressive variety lives on in the bar. At any given time, several Griffin Cider brews are available on tap.

Their menu features all sorts of ciders, as well as a varied drink selection that'll knock your socks off.
Though it is has a Cleveland-friendly atmosphere, this cozy bar is influenced by British pubs. The old, well-loved building offers a sort of charm that makes the visit feel all the more authentic.
