Most of us, when we were kids, probably dreamed about being in our favorite movie or on our favorite television show, experiencing the action right alongside our favorite characters. Now that we’re adults we can make that dream come true. A Christmas Story House in Cleveland allows us to feel as though we’ve stepped straight onto the movie set. Even better? You can stay overnight.
A Christmas Story House may have earned distinction as a tourist trap, but it’s undoubtedly one of the most fun destinations in Cleveland. It’s one of those spots you have to visit at least once (and more, if you’re a diehard fan).
Carve out plenty of time for your visit to A Christmas Story Museum, which sits right across the street from the house, and is brimming with movie memorabilia.
As you stroll through the museum, you might feel as though you’re on the set of the famous film. Randy’s snowsuit and the chalkboard that sat in Miss Shields’ classroom are just a few of the familiar props.
Don’t forget to stop by the gift shop, too, where you can pick up all kinds of awesome goodies – from a full size leg lamp to a bunny costume (and everything in between).
A day at the museum just not enough? How about a night at A Christmas Story House? Yep, you can spend the night, a weekend, or longer at the famous home.
Just choose between the Bumpus House Hound Dog Haven on the first floor or the Bumpus House Stolen Turkey Suite on the second and third floors. (The first floor is handicap accessible.)
