When Moses Cleaveland stumbled upon the gorgeous land that would come to bear his name, he could not imagine what the entire region would grow into. The area, which was first settled in the late 1700s, began to boom midway through the nineteenth century. We’re about to take a trip back in time to 1851, when an Avon-area family raised a barn. Today, that rustic structure still stands, but its interior is now overflowing with tantalizing aromas.
This gorgeous barn, located at 36840 Detroit Rd. in Avon, hides a long and rich history.
The Ewers Barn, also known as the Blackwell Barn, was constructed in the quaint German
Dutch architectural style that was popular in the 1800s. Yesteryear's residents once strolled past this welcoming structure without knowing of the delicacies it would come to hold.
The barn is now known as Strip Steakhouse, and its ambiance is incredible.
Rustic-chic combines effortlessly with elegance at this beloved landmark. Evening dining is romantic at this cozy site, and their menu is one that'll steal your heart.
