I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Cleveland is a foodie town. Lovers of quality cuisine can attest to the fact that our “Best Location in the Nation” moniker applies to our dining scene, which is rich in international cuisine, small-town pub grub spots, unusual dining options and settings, and so much more. There’s always something to discover in the area, especially when new restaurants are frequently popping up. Today, we’re going to take a look at the newest restaurant in Larchmere, one of Cleveland’s most distinct neighborhoods. Here, the turn of the century, immigration, and artists all contributed to the vibe of the neighborhood… and old-school architecture, internationally inspired cuisine, and bright colors all perfectly describe the restaurant we’re going to be visiting today. Bring your appetite, because these dishes are big, and dessert is a must.
Blink as you're driving down Larchmere Boulevard and you might miss the new restaurant hidden in a 115-year-old house.
At first glance, Poppy, a Salt+ Restaurant, looks just like a house. Its mission is a bit like a home, too... remember when grandma would have dinner ready at 5 o'clock sharp? And she'd lovingly create your favorite dishes for you? You'll get that kind of treatment here. The food is thoughtfully prepared, but speedy, and the ambiance is oh so welcoming.
Poppy opened in 2023, and it instantly charmed diners with its familiar homey ambiance, selection of internationally inspired foods, and unique brand of service.
The food here is inspired by meals from all around the world, so there's always something delicious and unique to try. Whether you're stopping in for dinner or brunch, you'd better bring your appetite!

The menu is organized for easy selection, making it a great choice when you're dining with dietary restrictions.
When you're perusing the Poppy menu, you'll easily spot the meat-free and seafood dishes. There's something for everyone here, from the small, shareable plates to the entrees that are so delicious, you just might have to get a to-go order, too!

Inside, two stories adorned with gorgeous old-school woodworks enchant diners.
I simply cannot get enough of the woodwork at Poppy. Beautifully restored, elegantly enchanting, this atmosphere is old-school in the best way possible. We just don't get architectural splendor quite like this in the 2020s!
Outside, a charming and colorful porch allows diners to soak up the vibes of the neighborhood.
While the porch is poised to operate as a seasonal amenity in Poppy's first few months of operation, it will soon operate as a year-round dining destination. Even in the winter, you can expect this porch to be warm and welcoming.
As you can see, Poppy sets an excellent scene for family meals, quick catchups with friends, or even romantic date nights. The elegant-but-casual ambiance is especially perfect for brunch, where it pairs deliciously with French toast, bacon, and mimosas.
After all, a seasonally rotating menu keeps things fresh and interesting from visit to visit.
How amazing do those sweet potato jojos look?! It's just one of many options awaiting diners at Poppy's. Truly, you can't go wrong with any entree or side... this new restaurant in Larchmere is sure to become a local favorite as the years march on!
Whatever you do, save room for dessert... you'll regret it if you don't!
Have you ever had that dining experience where you can't help but make eyes at every dish that strolls past your table? Poppy's daily parade of food will make your mouth water, and the dessert in particular is tantalizingly appetizing.
Wine and beer are a staple here, but I really love their cocktail options. "We’ve brought you the broomstick" is one of my favorites, not just for its funny name, but for the unique infusion of carrot juice. So different and refreshing!
You're going to love this enchanting restaurant in Cleveland's Larchmere neighborhood.
