Back in the day, the Gehrig family established a 90-acre farm out in the rolling hills of Millersburg.
According the memories of one local centenarian, the barn pictured above is the third to occupy this site since circa 1840. The current barn was constructed by the community in 1919 after the Gehrig's earlier structure was struck by lightning.
The barn housed agricultural yields, livestock, and a greenhouse for most of its life... until 1996.
The charm of the old barn remains, though it has very much enjoyed a luxurious facelift. Outside, it maintains the illusion of being a working barn. Inside, it's a comfortable countryside escape.
