Cincinnati is a fun and exciting town with plenty of things to do. You’ll never be bored in the Queen City, but if you ever feel the need to shake things up a bit, then keep this list handy. These seven places and activities are a little weird and sometimes wacky, but they’re a blast, and everyone in Cincinnati should try them out at least once.
1. Walk over shark infested waters at the Newport Aquarium.
The Newport Aquarium is a fun-filled destination in the Cincinnati area. There are plenty of interesting creatures to meet inside, but the wackiest experience comes at the end of the Aquarium. Walk along the narrow Shark Bridge, which dangles above a huge tank that is filled with sharks. Don't worry, you'll feel very safe, but it's definitely a unique feature of the Newport Aquarium.
We're proud of our German heritage here in Cincinnati and the best time to celebrate it is at the annual Oktoberfest Zinzinnati. This fun - and a little weird - gathering will take place September 21-23, 2018 and one of the can't miss moments is the World's Largest Chicken Dance. Gather together with thousands of your closest friends, perhaps a Bengal or two, sport your best chicken hat, and prepare to shake it.
There are many unique animal encounters to experience at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden. One of the most accessible - and the most fun - is to feed a giant giraffe some lettuce. If you've never done it, it's incredible to get so close to these amazing animals, and it's unbelievable to get a look at that tongue!
Many believe that haunted spirits roam the streets of the Queen City, and you can see for yourself on a Cincinnati Ghost Tour. Led by an entertaining guide, it's safe to say you haven't seen this weird and wacky side of the city before.
There are many ways to see the sights and sounds of Cincinnati, and one of the most unusual is to hop on a Pedal Wagon. Pedal Wagon Cincinnati (which also operates in Covington) is a great group activity for a night out or to tour the Queen City with a little exercise built in.
Jungle Jim's, that is! Jungle Jim's is an international market with its main location in Fairfield and another in Eastgate. However, this destination is so much more than a grocery store. You'll find any and everything here, as well as cooking classes, special events, and much more.
There are several places in Cincinnati where you can explore the city's history, and one of them happens to be underground. American Legacy Tours takes you beneath the streets on a unique adventure that's a must-do for all Cincinnatians.

We never claimed that Cincinnati was dull or lacking character, and these seven weird and wacky experiences prove that it’s definitely not. Have you checked all of these unique destinations off a list? Any others you would add? We’d love to know what you think in the comments!
