We just love featuring restaurants around Cincinnati that are started by passionate people, enjoyed by locals, and serve some of the best food in our city. It’s often the little places that make the biggest impact and that could definitely be said for Woots BBQ & Catering in White Oak. This tiny restaurant is owned by a man who learned to cook and appreciate true southern BBQ at a young age and he’s brought those flavors to the Queen City. In fact, there’s no better place for authentic southern BBQ than at this gem of a restaurant in Cincinnati!
Woots BBQ is located within White Oak Shopping Center on Cheviot Road. It's easy to miss among the other storefronts, so be sure you look closely for the little sign with the pig and flames.
Along with the sign, you can also follow your nose. And once inside, you'll know you're in the right place! It's family-friendly, welcoming, and feels a lot like you're dining at a friend's house.
That atmosphere has a lot to do with the owner, Anthony Wooten. He grew up in North Carolina and learned at a young age how to make mouthwatering Southern BBQ.
Woots smokes up all the classics on their custom smoker including ribs, pork, brisket, and chicken. The flavors are all out of this world, and many claim that the homemade sauce is the best in the city.
The menu has many options for trying their smokey creations, but we suggest going with the two or three-meat combo meal for your first visit. That way you can try a few different varieties, as well as the homemade sides.
Another must-try during your visit is the smoked-fried-chicken. You can get this unique creation as wings or a half or whole chicken and it's exactly what it sounds like. The chicken is smoked, quickly fried, and then smothered in sauce and finished on the grill. If you're bored with more typical BBQ, go with this menu favorite for sure.
Don't miss out on the sides to go along with the mouthwatering meat. Woots serves some of the creamiest mac & cheese and melt-in-your-mouth corn muffins, as well as collard greens, cole slaw, baked beans, potato salad, fries, and more.
Woot's BBQ is a hidden gem in White Oak that has been discovered by many in the neighborhood, thanks to the delicious smells coming from its smoker. If you're a fan of BBQ, especially authentic Southern-style creations, then check out this tiny BBQ joint that's as friendly as it is absolutely delicious.
Woots is a neighborhood favorite on the west side of Cincinnati, and since it’s not too far from the highway, everyone should give this tiny BBQ joint with big flavors a try.
