Cincinnati is a great city, filled with exciting restaurants, events, and attractions, but sometimes you just want to get out a bit further to escape everyday life. This remote restaurant we’ve tracked down definitely delivers on the out-of-the-way atmosphere and relaxed vibe, and it’s even accessible by bicycle! The Little River Cafe is located in Oregonia and is right along the Little Miami Bike Trail. This wonderfully remote restaurant near Cincinnati has great food, a welcoming attitude, and will make you feel a million miles away from everything.
Less than an hour (by car) from Cincinnati is the remote restaurant and bar, The Little River Cafe.
Oregonia, Ohio was founded in 1802 and the building that the original cafe was housed in was actually built in the 1870s.
The building had many uses and many names over the years, but in 1993 when the Little Miami Bike Trail was created in the area, the restaurant was renamed The Little River Cafe.
Unfortunately, the restaurant was destroyed by an electrical fire in 2009 (on a Friday the 13th!), but the community rallied together with the cafe and they reopened in July of 2010. The eatery continues to be a popular stop for locals, bikers, cyclists, and those seeking a relaxing spot to grab a drink and a bite to eat.

The remote feel and laid-back atmosphere are two of the main features of The Little River Cafe.
It feels like a big house, where you're welcomed with a smile and friendly service. They aim to keep the feel of the restaurant casual and fun, with cornhole outside and plenty of events throughout the year.
