The Mushroom Rally Is An Epic Event Coming To Cincinnati Next Year

Over time, video games have gradually moved from computer-based to our TVs, to handheld devices, and eventually were made so that we feel as if we are in the actual game ourselves. The Nintendo Wii definitely brought games like Mario Kart to life, but in May of next year, that will be taken to a whole new level. Mushroom Rally is a unique real-life Mario Kart experience that is traveling the country in 2019 and is planning a stop in Cincinnati. This epic event in the Queen City is sure to bring out the kid in all of us.

Exciting news came to Cincinnati this week, and video game fans will definitely be happy. The Mushroom Rally, AKA real-life Mario Kart, is coming to Cincinnati in May of 2019.

This unique event brings the popular video game to life with a specially made race track that you can race on - dressed up as your favorite Mario character, of course.

All of the details have yet to be been released, but what we do know is that with each ticket also comes a costume so you can race around the track as Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, or Bowser.

The track is also decorated so you feel like you're inside the classic game. If you've been known to yell at the TV while playing Mario Kart because you know you could do better in real life, well... now is your chance to prove it.

This is a new worldwide event that is making its way to the United States. Given the passion behind video games and Mario in general, you can imagine the anticipation of this event is quite something.

For your chance to race, you'll have to purchase one of 600 allotted tickets for Cincinnati. These are not on sale yet, but you can be the first to know and keep up-to-date on all of the information by signing up for email alerts here.

In addition to major bragging rights from winning real-life Mario Kart, the winner from each city will also get to travel to Las Vegas for the championship. That means you should start training now with plenty of Mario Kart and visits to a local go-kart track!
