When we transition from summer to fall, there are many haunted destinations around Cincinnati that open up for our enjoyment (and terror). The Queen City has several excellent choices if you love being scared to death, and in 2019, a new one will join the line-up. You may be familiar with Old West Festival in Williamsburg, just east of Cincinnati. This year, this 1800s western city will transform into Terror Town and offer several opportunities to scream your head off and have a frighteningly good time. What may soon be the scariest attraction in Cincinnati, Terror Town opens in just a few weeks and prepare yourself now, because it’s going to be downright creepy! (Heads up: some of the photos below are a bit scary!)
Old West Festival is a summer tradition in the Cincinnati area that many enjoy each year.
During this unique event, you can step back in time into an 1800s western town, complete with period buildings, reenactments, games, and activities. This year, the family-friendly western town is adding a new attraction that will only be for those who enjoy a true scare.
The festival grounds will be transformed into Terror Town. From the looks of it, this haunted destination will be one of the scariest attractions in Cincinnati.

The western town, its buildings, and its decor and props will aid in creating a haunted environment.
There will be shops, food, drinks, live music, and - of course - a few haunted attractions for your enjoyment. The great part of this experience is you will get a lot of bang for your buck, just as you do with Old West Festival.
As you roam through a literal ghost town, frightening figures will greet you with anything but a smile. In the chilling words of the Terror Town event hosts, you’ll "be the folk in the lore," so plan on a fully immersive experience.
The professionally created figures, masks, and creatures are the stuff of nightmares and as real as a dead zombie can appear.
They've also set up an outdoor theater for screening horror movies. The entire property will stay true to its town appearance and will include multiple haunted experiences.
If you're a fan of Halloween and all things scary, keep Terror Town on your list of places to visit this fall.
The terrifying fun begins September 6th and will run through November 3, 2019 on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings. The most frightening season of the year will be here before we know it, and Terror Town stands to become one of the scariest attractions in Cincinnati.
This 1800s western city actually makes for the perfect backdrop for the scariest attraction in Cincinnati and we can’t wait to see if Terror Town lives up to that terrifying goal.
