There’s a lot of fun to be had in Cincinnati in the spring and summer, and this year a new attraction is arriving in town that you’ll definitely want to experience. One of the most beloved spots in Cincinnati, Coney Island Amusement Park, is bringing the country’s largest Ferris wheel right here to our city. This exciting attraction will provide views like you’ve never seen and once it arrives in May, you’ll only have six weeks to try it out for yourself.
Coney Island is known as a nostalgic amusement park in Cincinnati that offers all sorts of family fun throughout the year, and especially over the summer.
This year will be even more exciting at the park because for six weeks, a humongous attraction will join the water park, rides, and games. The SkyWheel, the country's largest Ferris wheel, will make its way to Coney Island from May 26th through July 8th. Soaring 155-feet above the park and the Ohio River, it will definitely be the most unique ride in the city this summer.

This massive Ferris wheel made its debut at the 2017 Florida State Fair, shown in the photos below. The ride will be taken apart and expertly reassembled at Coney Island in May.
If you wish to ride the SkyWheel at Coney Island this summer, you must be 42" tall, or 32" tall to ride with an adult. The cost is $5 per rider, but only $2.50 if you are a season pass-holder.
The SkyWheel will be even more spectacular at night, as it is illuminated by more than 524,000 individual LED red, green, blue, yellow, orange and purple lights.
Coney Island's popular Balloon Glow takes place July 3rd, which may just be the most picturesque time to take a ride on the country's largest Ferris wheel, right here in Cincinnati.
