If you haven't crossed the bridge into Covington in a while, it's definitely time to do so. This historic riverside city is a definite asset to Cincinnati and it offers so many restaurants, shops, events, and much more, including a bar that doubles as a sweet donut shop.
Zazou Pub & Grill is a tasty restaurant with a lively atmosphere, and not necessarily a place you'd expect to find donuts. However, that is where The Village Nutz has taken up shop, serving up hot and fresh donuts to hungry customers.
The Village Nutz is a creative bakery with a wonderful sense of humor — and flavor. Their donuts are topped with a wide variety of treats and you can find a little bit of everything in the case each morning.
On your first visit, your best bet is to choose a variety and fill a box to take with you. Traditional glazed, sprinkled, and cream-filled are favorites but don't leave without a s'more or cereal-topped treat.
The Village Nutz is a great little spot to visit Covington for breakfast. You can grab a donut and coffee beginning at 7 a.m. Wednesday through Saturday and 8 a.m. on Sunday. As of right now, they are closed on Monday and Tuesday.
