Karnes Orchard is a beautiful and historic family farm that can be found east of Cincinnati near Hillsboro.

From downtown, it's about an hour and a half away, but less if you live on the east side of the city. No matter where you live in our area, this orchard near Cincinnati is worthy of a day trip.
The orchard has been in the same family since 1876 and has been a working farm for most of those years.

There was a time when the orchard went dormant, but the current Karnes family owners brought it back to life and have been delighting the community with the sweetest apples and other fruits since 2013.
The orchard and market are open from late July to mid-November and offer both U-pick opportunities and ready-to-buy produce.

You can follow along with them on Facebook, linked below, to find out what U-Pick options they currently have and when. In general, the orchard market is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
In addition to the apples and other fruits grown on the orchard, Karnes makes the most delicious cider.

The apples are picked and pressed right there on the farm and you can taste the fresh quality in every sip.
