Enjoy the Queen City’s amazing food, but keep in mind these 10 food faux-pas no Cincinnatian should ever commit.
This may be a bit controversial, but it's common belief that the "right" way to enjoy your 3, 4, or 5-way is to cut it with your fork, not twirl it like spaghetti. Perhaps it's because by cutting it, it allows you to get a full bite that includes all of the delicious ingredients, or maybe it has to do with the crackers, which wouldn't make it on your fork if you twirl. Whatever the reason, Skyline just tastes best when cut with the side of your fork, rather than attempting the faux-pas of twirling.

3. Watch a Reds game without a slice of LaRosa's pizza.
LaRosa's is a local favorite and tastes great from any of their locations, but for some reason, it tastes even better from the red seats at Great American Ballpark. You can't miss out on the opportunity to follow your nose to the smells of freshly baked pizza at the LaRosa's stand and then return to your seat with a hot slice of cheese or pepperoni.

4. Go out to breakfast in Cincy and not order goetta.
Goetta is a breakfast staple in Cincinnati and can be found on most morning menus around town. If you choose to go out to breakfast or lunch in the Queen City, the first spot to check on the menu is the side dishes to see if they serve goetta. Your next task is to make sure you order this savory side dish that makes every Cincy breakfast complete.
5. Visit Findlay Market and not actually eat something.
Many Cincinnatians enjoy wandering around Findlay Market, taking in the sights and sounds of our city's historic foodie destination. While wandering is great, it would be a major faux-pas to not actually taste the delicious food offerings at the multitude of stalls throughout the market. Go for a few small bites, enjoy a full meal, and no matter what, be sure to taste your way around Cincy's favorite urban market.
Every Frisch's fan knows that you can't enjoy their crispy fries without a side of their homemade tartar sauce. If you really want to go for it, ask for extra on your Big Boy, too. For those who aren't familiar with this favorite Cincinnati condiment, it may seem odd, but to many, it's a faux-pas to pass it up.
While many around the world may call it soda, here in Cincinnati it is referred to as "pop." If you order a soda at a local restaurant, the staff may know what you're talking about, but they'll also wonder where you're from because the word is not a popular one in the Queen City.
Cincinnati is a beer town, so much so that we offer some of the best craft beers in the country. You'll find local beers on tap or in a bottle or can at almost every dining destination around town, so don't make the mistake of ordering something else and miss out on supporting other Cincinnatians and their tasty creations.
You can't host a backyard gathering in Cincinnati without a bag (or better yet, a box) of Grippo's potato chips. Don't forget to get both regular and bar-b-q flavors, and don't skimp on the servings, as these snacks are a local favorite and just plain expected at any Cincinnati party.
