Everyone loves a good hiking trail, but there’s a different type of trail just outside of Cincinnati that we think you’ll agree is just as sweet. The Butler County Donut Trail includes 12 locally owned donut shops throughout the county, each with their own delicious take on this breakfast favorite. This trail does the work for you with a map, passport, and as a guide as you make your way to these mouthwatering destinations. This donut trail near Cincinnati is just as amazing as it sounds and it would make the perfect day trip to taste the sweetest treats Butler County has to offer.
If you don't live in Butler County, and you haven't been to this area near Cincinnati recently, then it's definitely time for a visit.
The county has made huge strides over the last few years that have made it a true destination in the region for all sorts of attractions and activities. One of the favorites - and definitely the most delicious - is the Butler County Donut Trail.
This trail is made up of 12 stops throughout the county, with each stop being a locally-owned donut shop.

The Donut Trail is serious business in Butler County and people travel from all over to attempt it.

Holtman's Donuts is a new addition to West Chester, but it has been a Cincinnati favorite for years.
Along the trail, you'll find plenty of classics like glazed and Bavarian cream, but be sure to be on the lookout for creative flavors like Maple Bacon and Fruity Pebbles. No matter which variety of donuts you decide to indulge in, be sure to keep track and follow the trail - there are no wrong turns on a path made of delicious donuts!
