When you hear the words “discovery zone,” what comes to mind? If you grew up in the 90s or had kids during this decade, chances are a catchy jingle from the Discovery Zone commercial is now in your head. Or maybe you’re immediately reminiscing about birthday parties, ball pits, roller slides, and just good old fashioned (somewhat dangerous) 90s fun. If you thought your days of Discovery Zone excitement were over, well think again. Our city is the lucky new location of this massive indoor playground in Cincinnati and now a new generation can risk the germs and injuries for all the same fun we had as kids.
If you need a reminder of how awesome this indoor playground in Cincinnati was, check out this commercial from 1992:
Discovery Zone rose to popularity starting in 1989 and then through the 90s.
Every 90s kid wanted to have their birthday party here, and it's likely you remember jumping into the ball pit and zipping down the roller slides. Eventually, Discovery Zone filed for bankruptcy and all of the locations were closed by 2001. But now, almost 20 years later, this iconic indoor playground in Cincinnati is back.
Discovery Zone is located within Eastgate Mall, close to Dillards.
Of course, there are now many indoor playgrounds in our area that families have been enjoying for years, but the nostalgia of Discovery Zone will likely draw in visitors.

It's not clear as to whether this is the exact same company as the previous Discovery Zone, but it sure does look similar.
And yes, this new generation of kids can have that epic birthday party that we all wanted as children of the 90s. They have party rooms available and three different levels of pricing.
This space is perfect for parents as kids run, climb, and slide with all of that energy we once had at that age.
But who knows? You may feel reenergized once you walk into this indoor playground in Cincinnati that reminds us of some of the best times of the 90s.
