Despite Cincinnati’s position right on the Ohio River, you don’t see many yachts cruising through the Queen City. That means that we don’t really have a need for a Yacht Club… or so you’d think. Two locals with a great sense of humor teamed up to create a restaurant inspired by historic photos of flooding in Cincinnati, and thus, the nautically-themed Northside Yacht Club was born. This tasty place isn’t even on the river, but that doesn’t matter, as they serve up incredible food and one-of-a-kind cocktails. Among their drinks, one certainly stands out: the massive Bloody Marys. In fact, these mouthwatering masterpieces are arguably the best Bloody Marys in Cincinnati!
If you're familiar with the delicious and eclectic dining scene in Northside, then chances are you've heard of Northside Yacht Club. NSYC, as it is often called, sits on a corner on Spring Grove Avenue and is hiding all sorts of surprises inside.
The restored, historic interior of the restaurant may surprise you when you first walk in. It has a great atmosphere for relaxing, hanging out with friends, listening to music, and, of course, enjoying great food.
One of the unique highlights at NSYC can be found on its brunch menu. Their massive Bloody Marys are served on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and are far more than just a cocktail - they come with an entire meal artfully balanced on top!
The Bloody Mary itself is made with a secret homemade mix, vodka, and citrus juices. It's then topped with celery, a house-smoked pulled pork slider, hickory bacon, and a house-smoked jumbo wing. And, yes, it really is as good as it looks.
Despite being a meal in itself, don’t stop at the Bloody Mary. Be sure to check out the entire brunch menu, as you’ll find breakfast classics like French toast, as well as delicious sandwiches, poutine made with goetta gravy, and more.
If Bloody Marys aren't your go-to drink, don't worry; Northside Yacht Club is also known for its array of specialty and seasonal cocktails. Lunch and dinner are pretty special here, as well.
NSYC’s smoked wings are some of the best in the city, and the rest of the dinner menu is filled with sandwiches, salads, hand cut fries, and other made-to-order options.
Aside from the food, guests love the atmosphere at NSYC, both inside and out. Expect to hear live music from time to time, and make sure to enjoy a beautiful brunch on the patio, ideally while sipping on one of the best Bloody Marys in Cincinnati.
Northside Yacht Club is a restaurant that’s worthy of more than one visit. For your first time, go for Sunday brunch and order a massive Bloody Mary, along with any delicious option on the menu, then plan on returning soon for another incredible meal at this unique Cincinnati dining destination.
