Cincinnati’s neighborhoods are dotted with local restaurants that are each appealing in their own way. Those that live nearby enjoy a leisurely stroll, bike ride, or a short drive to enjoy a meal at these eateries, but that doesn’t mean that other Cincinnatians can’t also discover these local gems. One neighborhood cafe that is worth a visit from any part of our city is The Birch in Terrace Park. This east side restaurant offers a fresh and flavorful menu, a charming atmosphere, and an inviting patio that’s downright delightful on a beautiful day.
The Birch is a charming family-owned restaurant in the beautiful neighborhood of Terrace Park and is also close to Milford and Indian Hill. Its location is ideal for an easy stop for lunch, dinner, or Sunday brunch, and its shaded surroundings are especially nice on a lovely day.
The Birch may be best known for its patio, which you'll want to enjoy on a nice day. It's spacious, inviting, has a family-friendly, relaxed atmosphere, and is perfect for sharing a meal and a glass of wine with friends.
The beautiful weather that will eventually arrive in Cincinnati is best enjoyed on a relaxing patio. The Birch is the ultimate hangout spot with Bocce Ball, shaded seating, and a menu that will satisfy any cravings.
If you plan a visit to the restaurant and it happens to be rainy or chilly, don't reschedule! The interior of The Birch is just as charming and that only means you'll have another reason to return on a nice day.
The lunch and dinner menu is served Tuesday through Saturday and includes a variety of fresh favorites. Grab a few friends to visit with you and choose some of their Shared Plates, like the Bruschetta of the Day, shown below.
The entree, salad, and sandwich options are also satisfying and artfully prepared. The menu is not large, but everything on it is created with attention to detail and flavor.
The Birch has recently added brunch to their repertoire, and it's served on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Crab Cake Benedict, Baked French Toast, and Biscuits & Gravy are just some of the new offerings that would be the perfect way to treat yourself on a Sunday.
The Birch is a downright delightful spot to shake off the winter blues and enjoy a beautiful day in Cincinnati. Plan a visit to this neighborhood restaurant for a little Bocce Ball, a glass of wine or local beer, and a meal on the patio that surely will not be your last.
