I write like it's my job - because it is! I have a Master's in English and love words: crossword puzzles, Scrabble games, Wordle, and, of course, good, old-fashioned books.
I'm a writer and editor at OnlyInYourState, and a contributing writer at Cincinnati Magazine. I love the Great Outdoors and am endlessly awestruck by this beautiful country of ours. Coffee keeps me going, yoga keeps me sane, my kids keep me grounded, and my writing keeps me inspired.
Kent is easily one of the most criminally underrated towns in Ohio. This town of around 28,000 along the Cuyahoga River in Northwest Ohio is the perfect mix of old-fashioned charm and modern-day amenities. With a decidedly Midwestern sensibility, Kent is peak small-town Ohio vibes and is the perfect day trip destination. Exploring Kent, Ohio, is nothing short of delightful, especially when done aboard Polly the Trolley!
Known as "Tree City," Kent is a charming college town located along the commanding Cuyahoga River in Northeast Ohio.
Commissioning a trolley tour is as easy as pie, too: simply park at the Kent Central Gateway and pick up a free day pass to ride the trolley. Polly's Downtowner Route operates Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays starting at 4:30 p.m.
While Polly is a recent addition to Kent, she's been warmly embraced by the town. For Halloween, this tricked-out trolley was decked to the nines with spooktacular decor!
