For Ohioans who love the natural beauty of our state but don’t want to get too close to it, there’s a certain way to camp. The following are eight unique campgrounds in Ohio that are perfect for those who hate camping.
Austin Lake RV Park & Cabins in Toronto, Ohio features a gorgeous lake, plenty to explore and miniature cabins with more amenities than you would expect. Experience glamping at its finest on the grounds of Ohio's own safari. This luxurious private yurt features running water, Asian-inspired decor and a personal deck next the Wilds’ animal pasture areas. The Wilds is located at 14000 International Rd., Cumberland, OH 43732.

With custom, Amish built log furniture and wood platforms, these canvas tents feature one queen bed, one set of bunk beds and a trundle bed. For a truly unique, rustic getaway, check out the gypsy wagons at Ravenwood Castle. Located within the Hocking Hills area is a traditional Sioux style tipi that features wood floors inside, a queen bed, indoor chiminea and seating for two. Secluded Sanctuaries is located just off of State Route 93, about six miles south of Logan, OH 43138.
At Boulders Edge Cabin and Tipi Retreat in Rockbridge, Ohio features a variety of overnight accommodations, including some authentic tepees that are fun to stay in. Each tepee here is a Sioux Native American Indian tepee set on a wooden platform, complete with a fire ring and a picnic table outside. Inside, you'll find a wood stove.
