January: Granville
Let's ring in the new year with a step back in time.
Granville is a special place with an interesting history. Unlike many settlements in the early 1800s, Granville was a planned community, founded in 1805 by people from the town of Granville, Massachusetts. Today, this New England influence -- and celebrated history -- can be felt all throughout town. Keep things extra cozy with a stay at the Granville Inn.
February: Medina
February is typically a month of lots of snow and ice in Ohio, and guess what? We're embracing it! Head to
Medina, Ohio , for the annual Medina Ice Festival. Held annually each February, this winter fest is four days of frozen *and* free fun featuring over a hundred LED-lit ice sculptures and displays that are not to be missed!
March: Sugarcreek
Sugarcreek, OH 44681, USA
In the heart of Ohio Amish Country,
Sugarcreek is an impossibly charming locale that's a taste of the Old World. Known as the "The Little Switzerland of Ohio," you'll find the German and Swiss heritage on proud display throughout town. Don't forget to stop by Broad Run Cheese for some of their award-winning Swiss!

During the summer, there's nothing better than paddling down the Little Miami and then enjoying a meal outdoors at one of the town's many quaint restaurants.
July: Vermilion
Impossibly charming and rapturously beautiful,
Vermilion is Ohio's very own slice of paradise. Quaint, friendly, and magically beautiful, Vermilion is comparable to the coastal cities of a dreamy fairytale. This "Harbour Town" is a fantastic place to drop anchor and stay a while. This city was once known as the Village of Lake Captains, and it has flawlessly maintained sailor homes of yore. Vermilion's historic streets are sure to enchant visitors with their unbeatable atmosphere.
August: Coshocton
Conveniently located just an hour from Columbus, the charming town of
Coshocton will make you feel worlds away from it all. Climb aboard the Monticello III and you’ll feel like you are actually gliding right into Ohio history! This horse-led canal boat runs from late May through late October and is a delightful way to celebrate the waning summer season in Ohio.

The German village of
Zoar, Ohio , is one of those tiny towns that's firmly under the radar, and we're making it our mission to change that. Beautifully preserved and full of fun places to explore, you're sure to fall in love with this little-known town. It's especially magical during November and December; the entire town is outfitted with old-fashioned decorations and twinkle lights, with carolers and carriage rides making Zoar a place of pure holiday spirit.
