The exterior of the building looks like an updated Gold Rush-era structure with Victorian architectural details. If you’re in the area and just want a cocktail, the restaurant has a full bar.
The menu is large but not pages and pages of items. They have a large breakfast menu and you can order from until 4 p.m.

This menu includes diner classics, omelets, five types of Benedicts, six Mexican breakfast items, and a list of specialty items.
If you visit for lunch, you can order off of the breakfast menu or the lunch menu. On the lunch menu you’ll find some comfort food appetizers such as meatballs in marinara, nachos, and chili cheese fries.

Highway House Restaurant is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
