It may be winter right now, but it's never too early to plan a trip to this one-of-a-kind park. Howarth Park is a 138-acre community park that has every recreational activity you could possibly imagine. This hidden gem of a park is soon to become one of your favorite places to spend an afternoon.
The park's most notable feature is the vast lake that is used for a number of water activities by visitors. Lake Ralphine is comprised of 25 acres and is an excellent place for fishing, paddleboarding, or just feeding the ducks. There is even a place nearby that offers boat rentals.
However, the crown jewel of Howarth Park is the awesome little amusement park that can be found within. It's almost like a mini-carnival contained inside of the park
The amusement park's main attraction is the miniature train which gives rides to delighted kids and adults. You're never too old to enjoy the thrill that comes with a charming train ride like this!
This portion of the park is even made to look like a train station from the old days. Kids will spend hours pretending to be cowboys and cowgirls in this miniature Western-themed town.

Many of the park's attractions like the carousel, train, and pony rides are closed during the winter. They'll officially open up this year on February 10th. They are open on weekends from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. It's best to check their Facebook for updates regarding weather.
