Of course, Kings Creek Falls is the main reason to complete this hike. However, you'll notice that the trail packs in all sorts of awe-inspiring scenery along the way.
In fact, the trail follows the creek for a majority of the hike. After approximately an hour, the trail will start to lead you across several switchbacks while boasting stunning views of the surrounding mountain scenery.
The hike is easiest on the way to the waterfall since its entirely downhill. But be sure to reserve some energy, since that means the trek back will be entirely uphill. Still, the trail is rated as moderate and manageable for most hikers, both young and old.
You'll know you're close to the falls when you start spotting some smaller waterfalls along the trail. Additionally, the creek gets increasingly active the farther you go along the trail.
Eventually, you'll end up at the rim of the waterfall. Keep following the trail and it will begin to take you to a better vantage point, leading you around to the perfect view from below. From this spot, the towering waterfall looks absolutely amazing.
Keep going down to the base of the falls and you'll end up with a view like this one! At 40-feet high, the falls seem to pour perfectly over the rocks, creating an inspiring scene that you won't be forgetting anytime soon.
