With the sun shining and the temperatures on the rise, a day of picking your own strawberries sounds pretty good. Nothing tastes better than fresh, local produce, picked by your very own hands. Northern California is home to numerous U-Pick farms, but the one featured here has become famous for their delectable strawberries. Round up the family, grab your fruit-picking baskets, and make the drive out to this charming strawberry farm soon. Some delicious goodies await!
This spring, be sure to make visiting Chan's Strawberry and Fruit Stand in Brentwood a priority. This place is a must for families looking to gather some of Northern California's finest, most delicious strawberries.
Chan's really is strawberry fields forever. The farm boasts numerous aisles full of strawberry bushes that are loaded with some of the most pristine strawberries in the state.
Chan's Fruit Stand is owned by a farmer of over 25 years, Chan Kwen Tern. The farm specializes in both strawberry and blackberry picking but they also sell a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables.
The farm usually opens to visitors in mid-April, in which you'll be able to visit anytime between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm from Thursday through Sunday. U-Pick season is one of our favorite times of year and we couldn't be more excited for it to begin!
Once you arrive, you can purchase a box to put your strawberries in for 35 cents. And with a price of just $1.25 per pound, you could spend all day stocking up on fresh strawberries. By the end of your visit, you'll have your own personal treasure trove of delicious berries.
Alternatively, you can purchase one of the pre-picked boxes of strawberries if you're in a hurry...but everybody knows it's funner if you do it yourself. Start the season off with some delicious goodies and pay a visit to Chan's Fruit Stand as soon as it opens for the season.
You'll find Chan's Fruit Stand at 2600b Walnut Blvd, Brentwood, CA, 94513. Visit their website
