Whoever made up the stereotype that our vocabularies are full of words like "hella," "Frisco," or "Cali" clearly has never stepped foot in NorCal. Northern Californians may have a slight accent, but it's nothing like the stereotypical surfer accent most people attribute to us.

Something Northern Californians are very familiar with is convincing people that it does in fact get cold here. It's not always sunshine and clear skies here. In fact, a lot of areas of NorCal dip down into freezing temperatures throughout the year.

This is possibly the most worn out stereotype of Californians in existence. No, we aren't all focused on superficial things like looks and money. Actually, a lot of Northern California residents are the most down-to-earth people you'll ever meet!

If you look at a map, you'll see that Los Angeles is quite far away from the northern portion of the state. That's like asking somebody if they casually make a 12 hour drive to a different city all the time! It's just not plausible. Not to mention the fact that Northern Californians really have no desire to visit their southern neighbors.

Um, no. You're gonna have to go to Hollywood for that.
