Have you ever seen a pig fly? Or a grasshopper on his way to a formal event? Sound like pretty weird questions to be asking, right? Well, these are just some of the whimsical creatures hiding on Cassel Road. Get ready for a storybook-esque adventure when you visit this delightful sculpture park in Northern California in person along your journey.
In the yard of Packway Materials, just off Highway 299, you'll find the most delightful sculpture park.
Packway Materials is a family-owned and operated business providing building materials. The Hathaway family has been serving the Eastern Shasta, Lassen, and Modoc Counties since 1963.
The two Hathaway brothers see art where others see hunks of junk.
The sculptures are created from broken-down and discarded equipment and scrap materials. Cutting, shaping, and welding the characters into life, the artists require the use of heavy machines to move the massive sculptures into the garden.
