Sometimes you just have a hankering for comfort food. Something creamy, decadent, salty, or perhaps fried (or all of the above!). If you’re in San Francisco, one of the best seafood shacks in Northern California is the Woodhouse Fish Co. Crunchy fried fish is just the beginning of what you can feast on here!
Woodhouse Fish Co. is one of the best places in the Bay Area for fresh fish and seafood.
Whether you come for lunch or dinner, you’ll find a wide array of great dishes to suit your particular fish or seafood hankering. Beverage options to compliment your meal include a variety of red, white, pink, and sparkling wines, as well as about a dozen beers.

Everybody loves classic fried fish and at Woodhouse you can taste the freshness.
The batter, made with Anchor Steam beer, creates a light and flaky consistency that doesn’t overpower the fish. They are then carefully laid on a bed of salty shoestring French fries – yum!
Topped with fresh avocado, cabbage, pico de gallo, and a chipotle aioli, these are a winner! If you want to stay with the fried theme but branch out from the fish, Woodhouse serves up amazing fried calamari, and fried Ipswich clams.
Still enticed by other things on the menu? No problem, order two entrees!
These include Dungeness crab (chilled, hot cracked with melted butter, or steamed in white wine, lemon, and garlic butter), seafood stuffed artichokes, cioppino, steamed mussels, and squid ink linguine, just to name a few.
Can’t you just taste all this fried fish and seafood goodness? Well, don’t torture yourself with just the thought of it – head on over to the Woodhouse Fish Co. and bring your tastebud dreams to life!
Have you eaten at the Woodhouse Fish Co.? If so, we’d love to see your photos and hear about your experience there.
