Raven’s Restaurant is located inside the Stanford Inn & Resort right next to where the ocean and Big River meet in Mendocino. The wood walls of this charming restaurant make the place feel super cozy, especially when visiting on a typical foggy coastal day. Much of the produce for the dishes is sourced from the large organic garden out back. They are open daily for breakfast, from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., and dinner from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
2. SALT Fish House– Arcata

This sustainable seafood restaurant serves craft cocktails and fresh California-style seafood dishes. The light wood and minimalist decor perfectly complement the old Humboldt Machine Works building in which this fairly new restaurant resides. They have all of your seafood favorites, like raw oysters, ceviche, poke, and shrimp cocktail. SALT Fish House is open Tuesday through Sunday from 3:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Happy Hour is 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. As the weather warms up, SALT Fish House will be open for lunch, too.
3. A Taste of Bim- Caribbean Cuisine– Eureka

Don’t miss out on the excellent food at this small restaurant in Eureka. A Taste of Bim– Caribbean Cuisine serves all kinds of Caribbean classics such as jerk chicken, cod fritters, and much more! On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays they serve brown stewed oxtail and curry goat. For anyone with dietary restrictions, A Taste of Bim offers many gluten-free and vegan options. The restaurant is open Tuesday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
4. Sailor Jack’s– Benicia

Located in the city of Benicia, just outside of San Francisco, is this restaurant inside a former sea captain’s home. Sailor Jack’s menu changes seasonally but always features fresh seafood. This is a great spot to enjoy a cocktail, good food, and good views. Sit outside to get a great view of the water. Sailor Jack’s is open Wednesday through Monday, opening at 10 a.m. on Saturdays and 11 a.m. every other day. The restaurant closes at 8 p.m. except on Fridays and Saturdays when it closes at 9 p.m.
5. Taste Restaurant and Wine Bar– Plymouth

After a day of tasting, or maybe to kick off a wine-tasting trip in this county, check out this fantastic restaurant in the town of Plymouth. Taste Restaurant and Wine Bar serves elevated food and a wide selection of wine in a former saloon. Located on Main Street, this happening restaurant is definitely worth a trip. Taste Restaurant and Wine Bar is open Thursday and Monday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
6. The Columbia House Restaurant– Columbia

The small town of Columbia in Gold Rush country has a quaint downtown with a lot of history. The Columbia House Restaurant is located in the heart of downtown in a historic building. The restaurant looks like an old Gold Rush saloon from the front. Inside, you’ll find a welcoming atmosphere where they serve mouth-water comfort food in a casual setting. The Columbia House Restaurant is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
7. The Grandview Restaurant– Hamilton

With stunning views of San Jose from this mountain-top restaurant, you can enjoy a good meal and feel a world away from it all. The Grandview Restaurant serves food prepared with farm fresh ingredients harvested from their farm right across the street. Guest favorites include Kobe steak, prime rib, and oysters Rockefeller. The Grandview Restaurant is open daily for dinner. Reservations are recommended.
