The Minarets are one of the Sierra Nevada's most breathtaking sights. Consisting of jagged peaks in the Ritter Range, a sub-range in the Sierras, the Minarets skyline definitely catches your attention with its rugged beauty.

Minaret Vista is a Forest Service-managed recreation site located just a few miles away from the main lodge at the Mammoth Mountain Ski Area. To find it, simply take Minaret Road for two miles past the lodge. Keep right onto Lookout Point Road until you reach the vista.

Interpretive signs at the vista have been placed to help you identify prominent peaks such as Mt. Ritter and Mt. Banner. Additionally, there are a number of trails that lead up the nearby ridge, if you feel like adding a bit of adventure to your visit.

The fact that it's accessible by vehicle makes it a popular destination in the summertime. However, you'll want to keep in mind that road access is blocked in the winter, and the vista can only be reached by snowmobile, snowshoes, or skies during that time.
