Fortunately, there are tons of beautiful hikes near San Francisco. One spot that is sure to impress outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers alike is Dr. Aurelia Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park. Located in Oakland and touted as a “hidden gem of redwood forest,” the 1,800-acre park is home to a dense forest of coast redwoods, evergreens, chaparral, and grasslands as well as an array of wildlife. Miles of hiking trails wind through the park, making it easy to explore its vast grounds. The park also includes picnic sites and a play structure.
