A classic that will never get old regardless of the year. This garlic-themed restaurant is a North Beach and SF institution. This world-famous dining mecca with garlic driven dishes also offers colorful themed rooms and casual fun.

Outerlands is also popular for their great brunch fare —especially the Grill Cheese, smoked chicken at dinner, and every single baked thing made in-house.
4. Pluof Seafood Restaurant: 40 Belden Place, 94104
Pluof does not receive the credit it deserves. This stylish French seafood bistro is located on the animated Belden Alley in the Financial District. Plouf specializes in mussels, salads, and numerous seafood dishes. An added bonus is the European-style outdoor seating.
5. Zuni Cafe: 1658 Market Street, 94102
Here, you'll find artfully prepared food that is reasonably priced. Expect a great brunch and late-night dining. Go for favorites like the oysters and the very popular chicken dish. The fries are one-of-a-kind, too!
6. Swans Oyster Depot: 1517 Polk Street, 94108
Another classic spot that will never get old for oysters. For more than 100 years, this "unassuming" lunch counter and seafood market in the Polk Gulch neighborhood has been a local favorite, serving up oysters, scrumptious clam chowder, and beer.
7. NopalitoL 306 Broderick Street, 94117
Outside of Nopa, Nopalito is a restaurant that you need to check out this year. Nopalito offers sustainable sit-down Mexican food. Expect totopos con chile as well as comforting tortilla soup and awesome carnitas.
8. Beretta: 1199 Valencia Street, 94110
Beretta may be well known among hipsters, but this spot needs to be discovered by everyone. This cool spot offers antipasti, pizzas, pastas, risottos, and daily specials like cioppino and short ribs. The wine and cocktail list is a hit as well!
9. La Taqueria: 2889 Mission Street, 94110
You can't talk about San Francisco food without mentioning burritos. La Taqueria always get great reviews for its awesome Mexican staples, including America's Best Burrito title! You have to eat here once.
10. Scoma's: 1965 Al Scoma Way, 94133
Scoma's is well known for offering the freshest seafood of San Francisco. The reputation of their food had made Scoma's a city institution. If you love the city, then check out some of Scoma's classic San Francisco dishes like the Cioppino.
