These 8 San Francisco Neighborhoods Are Pure Magic During Christmastime

Christmas time is magical up until the new year, so why not check out some festive parts of the city. Why? Because San Francisco is full of awesome spots for the Holiday season. Enjoy the remaining days of the holiday season in these dazzling parts of San Francisco.
1. Nob Hill
The top of Hill comes alive at night, so come by this historic neighborhood and enjoy the holiday displays. The elegant decorations here are especially evident at Grace Cathedral from Huntington Park.
2. Downtown/Financial District
Lots of Christmas cheer and decorations at the 555 California building in downtown. This is an overlooked spot in SF that has a beautiful and large Christmas tree in the plaza by the 555 building.
3. Civic Center Area
The area around Civic Center near the city hall is always beautiful. One of the more recognizable spots to get into the holiday spirit is government center of San Francisco. The lighting of the Civic Center Plaza’s Christmas tree is a treasure to see, so try and at least witness the tree here.
4. Embarcadero
Celebrate the Holiday Spirit at the waterfront of the city. Embarcadero has the largest outdoor ice rink in the city as well as light along the skyline. Walk the Embarcadero boardwalk to enjoy the lights here.
5. Union Square
The center of the Union Square is full of holiday cheer, lights and an ice rink. The ice rink is open 10:00 am - 11:30 pm for the rest of the year, including Christmas day. Visit the ice rink and enjoy Union Square as well.
6. Ghirardelli Square
Ghirardelli Square is always a festive spot loaded with lights and spirit. Enjoy chocolate as well here because Ghirardelli Square has a lot to offer. Many activities are always happening at Ghirardelli Square as well. Check out this spot for Christmas fun.
7. Fisherman's Wharf - Pier 39
Come out to Fisherman's Wharf and see Pier 39's Christmas tree. The tree lights up nightly at 6pm throughout the holiday season. Go out to this iconic part of the city to enjoy the Holiday cheer.
8. Golden Gate Park
Golden Gate Park will be a perfect quiet place to visit throughout the holidays. The best spot to feel the holiday cheer is the Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park. Illuminate SF is a two-month celebration that lights up shopping districts and streets like this part of Golden Gate Park until early January of 2018.
