Tucked away in the heart of Castro Valley, Lake Chabot is a 315-acre oasis for outdoor enthusiasts. The marina and cafe boast everything you could possibly need for a day of fun on the water!
Located right along the shores of Lake Chabot, the destination is perfectly suited for providing you with the ultimate lake adventure. Of the many services it offers, visitors can enjoy a well-stocked bait and tackle shop, equipment and watercraft rentals, and homestyle made-to-order food.
Lake Chabot offers a wide variety of boat rentals, so there's bound to be one that suits your specific needs. The rowboats, kayaks, and pedal boats are especially ideal for an easygoing and quiet paddle across the lake.
For something roomier, you can opt for an electric motor boat or pontoon patio boat. Of course, you can always use your own if you have one! Just remember that because Lake Chabot is a drinking water reservoir, swimming and gasoline motor boats are strictly not allowed.
Lake Chabot also offers guided kayak tours. Great for all skill levels and ages, the popular tour features 2.5-hours of paddling along eight miles of gorgeous shoreline. It's an awesome experience, but it's currently undergoing improvements and won't be available until later this year.
All that paddling and boating is bound to work up an appetite! Definitely be sure to stop by the Marine Cafe. Open for both breakfast and lunch, the cafe specializes in freshly made cuisine that fuels you right up.
