This year, the Quilt Festival will take place from October 17 through October 20. The festival is like Disneyland for quilters, boasting everything from intimate workshops and lectures to quilt competitions and special exhibits.
By far, the highlight of the festival is the Quilt Show and Merchants Mall. Consisting of around 150 vendors from all over the country, festival goers could spend hours perusing the booths which offer textiles, supplies, clothing, machines, and so much more.
However, another notable part of the festival is the educational aspect. Quilters can sign up for a myriad of workshops and classes which focus on different techniques, quilting styles, and so much more.

New at this year's festival is a short 30-minute walking tour of highlighted hand quilted entries in this year's competition. Led by judge Didi McElroy, the tours will provide insight on the techniques and methods that went into creating these beautiful pieces.
