Free and open to the public, you could spend an entire day strolling through the garden and soaking up the gorgeous scenery. This is a lovely hidden gem that is definitely worth seeking out.
Nestled on a hillside in Walnut Creek, The Gardens at Heather Farm is a free public garden and education center. Boasting spectacular scenery in the most picturesque setting, this garden is like something out of a fairytale and seeing it is an incredible experience.
Walnut Creek's Ygnacio Valley is a breathtaking region complete with rolling hillsides and plenty of gorgeous foliage. So naturally, it was the perfect place to open an educational garden. The garden has made this glorious landscape available for all, and it's pretty amazing!
Encompassing six acres of natural landscape, the garden is free and open to all seven days a week. Complete with paved and gravel pathways, it's easy to stroll through the garden for hours on end, taking in the lovely fragrances and the gorgeous views.
A rose-covered gazebo, waterfall area, and conservation garden can all be found within this delightful destination. This place is definitely photogenic, to say the least, so be sure to bring your camera.
This may not be the biggest garden in Northern California, but it sure does pack a LOT into its relatively small space. Every inch of this garden is covered in vibrant flowers and plants. You'll want to be sure to check out every little nook and cranny.
