Right here in Northern California there is magical holiday train ride hosted by the California State Railway Museum, which is located in downtown Sacramento. Everyone feels like a kid during the holidays, and this delightful and festive train ride through seasonal decorations and Christmas cheer is sure to entertain all of us.
There might not be real snow in Sacramento, but that doesn't stop the State Railway Museum from busting out all festive decorations!
One of the best parts of the whole experience are the friendly elves who take a break each year from making toys to drop in on the Polar Express here in Northern California.
The Polar Express is pulled along by a historic streamlined diesel locomotive from the museum's collection. Chris Van Allsburg's classic holiday story, the Polar Express, as you and your family make your round-trip journey to the North Pole.
The main attraction, of course, is jolly old St. Nick himself! Santa is waiting for you to tell him what you are hoping to find under the tree, so be sure to pay him a visit.
