Teaming up with local Nevada City and Grass Valley businesses, Outlandish Adventures is dedicated to providing unique and authentic experiences to both travelers and locals. One of their current adventures is aptly called the Baby Goat Experience, and it's a must for animal lovers.
The Baby Goat Experience takes place at Nightingale Farms which is home to award-winning Oberhasli dairy goats. They are well-known in the region for their lovely handmade soaps and lotions which are created with goat milk.
On select dates throughout the summer, participants can visit the farm and join them on the morning chores and everything that it entails. First off, you'll begin with milking the goats and you'll even have the opportunity to try hand-milking yourself!
You'll then move on to feeding the goats which includes bottle feeding the babies along with the adults. Afterward, you'll get a hands-on tour of the working farm and have an opportunity to ask any questions that you desire.
Best of all, you'll spend plenty of time hanging out with the goats and watching them as they romp around in the pastures. It's simply an amazing experience, especially because you can tell these animals have been treated with the utmost respect and care.
