Visit the Beachcomber Cafe for locally-sourced organic cuisine. The cafe has a casual outdoor patio where you can enjoy a meal. The town has more than a half dozen restaurants, most of which serve California coastal cuisine, like clam chowder and fresh crab.

Nearby, is the Trinidad Head Trail. This 1.7 mile loop trail takes hikers around the rocky promontory which is a California National Landmark. On this hike you’ll get a close-up look at the historic Trinidad Head Lighthouse.

The beach overlooks many of the offshore rocks. This beach also has places where visitors can go tidepooling. Trinidad State Beach is also pet-friendly, so feel free to bring your pup.

This beach was formerly known as Patrick’s Point State Park. Sue-meg is the name the Yurok people use for this beach. Today, visitors to the beach can view a recreated Yurok village, plus a visitors center, picnic areas, and a native plant garden.
